Based on 1,081 reviewsGaribaldi Italian Restaurant & Bar is widely recognized for its consistent quality and passionate approach to Italian cuisine, offering a refined fine dining experience at reasonable prices. Guests frequently commend the well-executed dishes, highlighting creamy risottos, tender braised meats, and flavorful signature pasta with caviar. The restaurant’s attention to detail extends to its attentive and courteous service, with personalized touches that enhance the dining experience. While the ingredients are generally praised, some feedback suggests occasional variability in the intensity and freshness of certain components, such as caviar. Overall, Garibaldi is celebrated for delivering carefully crafted meals paired with reliable hospitality, making it a favored choice for both casual set menus and indulgent multi-course dining.
SO YUMMY and the 3 course executive set menu was quite affordable as well! We loved the cavier angel hair. That was so good. I'll definitely be back again for the 5 or maybe 6 course menu
Everything that we ordered was cooked with care. Zucchini flowers stuffed with smoked cheese was crispy outside and soft inside. Braised beef was tender and risotto cooked perfectly. My steak was also on the money in terms of doneness. Fave of the night was dessert though - the tiramisu had enough of a bitter coffee hit to make it memorable. They gave an additional dessert too since it was my birthday :) Service was excellent as well!
Been to Garibaldi many times over the years. Food is highly consistent, service is excellent, and its reasonably priced for a 1 Michelin star. They will also go out of their way to make changes to the dish/menu for you. In general if you're looking for great Italian food done with passion and flavour - this is the place.
Had their signature Alaskan crab meat and caviar capellini. It’s a really tasty dish if a tad salty (think salt came not only from caviar). This dish is not that expensive as an add on to the regular set menu. So, understandably the ingredients are not top notch. The caviar could have been a bit more firm and robust in taste. Think crab meat may be from a frozen pack or can. Steak was very good. Dry aged meat and excellent mushroom sauce. Probably not the right thing to do in a fine dining joint but I can’t help dunking quite a few pieces of bread into the sauce!
It was dinner for my wife and I at Garibaldi and it was our first visit and man it did not disappoint, service was impeccable - first they called few hours to confirm my reservation. The service once we arrived was impeccable and attentive, I didn’t manage to get the gentleman’s name but he did a very good job serving us, no complaints on that department. We had their signature cold starter based on the staff’s recommendation ie the angel hair pasta with oyster and caviar and it did not disappoint and which sets my expectations for the other courses to come. The starter was refreshing, it had the taste of the sea with a bit of sour notes in the sauce which was a good combination. My wife had the crab linguine with tomato and vodka sauce and I ordered the tagliata - the crab linguine’s tomato sauce had a particular aftertaste which I assumed was the vodka which makes it pretty unique so it’s pretty special compared with other normal creamy tomato sauce pasta. The beef tagliata was grilled to medium rare as I ordered, wished the meat was sliced thinner at some parts but it’s just a small complain from me - otherwise it’s pretty good they managed to keep the moisture of the meat. We finished our meal with the tiramisu and that’s the crown jewel of the meal that night - it was the chef’s mother’s own recipe but man it’s one of the best tiramisu I had - each layer of the dessert from the cocoa powder, bits of chocolate pieces, cream and the bottom layer goes so well together - not too sweet, the cream layer was light but also not too light which was just perfect - for me it’s a must try. And finally just one small feedback to the team - my wife found a small piece of oyster shell in the starter which wasn’t a big problem for us, other than that it was a wonderful meal for us.
We always enjoy the food at Garibaldi. Don't miss the angel hair cappelini and the Earl grey Panna Cotta. We enjoyed the eggplant parmi, cod, lamb rack with mint jelly, granchio pasta and tiramisu as well. Thanks to Nove who made our celebrations so special - we will be back!
It was a joy to dine in Garibaldi. We had the private dining room and service was exceptional. Really nice flavours in each dish and I particularly enjoyed the spinach noodles in duck ragout. Their pastas are perfectly done and didn’t disappoint. Dessert which usually is an afterthought, still stole center stage with immaculately prepared dark chocolate shell and white chocolate shavings. Overall a wonderful evening out with friends.
Enjoyed the accommodation of last min time changes; service was moderate; food was okay, not a lot of wow factors involved… my fav was the panna cotta; scallops were quite overcooked, angel hair pasta with caviar was okay; prawns were overcooked; fish was my 2nd fav; pasta was quite nice as well but the flavors may be too rich for others; ice cream was below average (we requested to swap for a dessert without chocolate). Overall a nice place for dinner date; Despite mentioning a few dishes being overcooked, we didnt bother sending back to the kitchen cuz we were rushing for time (do note they take quite some time to prepare the food) so can’t comment much bout that ;)
